Application for Storage or In Between Meals:
Step 1: Start with a clean, dry, and rancid free dutch oven. Step 2: Heat dutch oven until it’s hot. While wearing gloves, apply a thin layer of Dutch Oven Gold by rubbing it all over the inside of both the lid and the pan. Step 3: Allow the oven to cool completely. Now your oven is ready for storage.
Preparation for Use:
Step 1: Heat dutch oven until Dutch Oven Gold liquefies. Blot with paper towels to remove.
Step 2: USE CAUTION (adding cold water to hot dutch oven can cause it to crack).
Allow dutch oven to cool and then poor one to two inches of water in the bottom of the dutch oven. Cover with lid and bring to a boil for 1 to 2 minutes to remove the remainder of Dutch Oven Gold. Poor water out. Step 3: Allow dutch oven to dry completely. Apply light coating of oil. You are now ready to prepare your favorite dutch oven recipe.
USE CAUTION:
ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES WHEN HANDLING A HOT DUTCH OVEN and when applying Dutch Oven Gold.
